The Conference resumed business at six o’clock this morning, but the members attended a picnic in the afternoon, and an oratorio performance at St John’s Wesleyan Church to-night, when Spohr’a Last Judgment was performed, with a full orchestra and a large chorus. The oratorio was an immense success, and was greatly appreciated. Herr Balling conducted, the Harmonic Society aiding, and the solos and quartettes were entrusted to Miss Baigent, Mrs Houlker, Mr Lucas and Mr Kidson.
