NEW SOUTH WALES POLITICS.

[Special to Press Association.] SYDNEY, March 6. In the Legislative Assembly last night Sir G. R. Dibbs’s motion of wans of confidence in the Government was negatived by 66 votes to 27. The Labour Party voted solid for tbo Government. Although they are considerably dissatisfied with Mr Raid’s policy, they considered that no better terms were obtainable from the Opposition. Mr O’Sullivan’s amendment, censuring the Government for its treatment of tho unemployed and the re-appointment of Mr Eddy, was negatived by 70 to 24. Mr William M’Gourt has been re-elected Chairman of Committees. a Mr C. N. Oliver haa been appointed Deputy-chief Railway Commissioner during Mr Eddy’s absence. Government haa advised the local option party that there will be no time this session to introduce a Bill on tha lines asked for securing full local option, but that aa opportunity will be given to introduce such a measure next session.
