The following passengers arrived at Lyttelton by the steamer Connna, on Sunday night, from Wellington:—Messrs Fitzsimmons, Smith, Harley, Milne, Moir, Robinson, Colclougb, Croxton, Oates, Edwards, Hadcn, Eendiaide, Shetland, Brown, Davis, Martin,Gunnon,Muir; and nine steerage. The barque Charlotte completed her loading yesterday for London on account of the New Zealand Shipping Company. The barque Laira completed her loading yesterday for London. She takes 2400 hales of wool, loaded by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company. She will be followed by the barque Glenlora, which was berthed yesterday. Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s cargo steamer Maori, which should arrive to-day from Wanganui, will load 25,000 carcases of mutton and 500 tons of general cargo at Lyttelton. Wakatipu, from Lyttelton, called on Saturday to land some Newcastle coal. She took in 800 sacks of oata for Sydney, and left for Bunedin in the evening. The mission schooner Southern Cross arrived from Lyttelton on Saturday afternoon. Yesterday she was thrown open to the public, and although she was not brought to a wharf, and boats had to be used, a large number of people visited her. She leaves this morning for Auckland. The 0.0. Omapere, from Bunedin, landed 80 tons of general merchandise yesterday, and took in 250 tons of produce for various ports, leaving for Akaroa and Lyttelton in the evening. The ship Blenheim and the s.s. Omapere were bedecked with bunting yesterday morning in honour of the marriage, at Ashburton, of Captain Eeston, of the Waimea, now at Port Chalmers.
