The activity on the Stock Exchange is still sustained, though the great advance of the previous fortnight has been followed by a more sober movement. The tendency of prices is still towards improvement; the tone is healthy, and sales have been effected more freely even than a fortnight ago. AN ALLEGATION OF MUKDEN. PERTH, March 2. It is now sated that Sutherland’s death was not the effect of mischance, but the deliberate act of Miller, who was annoyed at losing a lawsuit with the deceased. ADELAIDE, March 2. THE FEDERAL BANK. The question whether the Adelaide shareholders of the Federal Bank could compel the liquidators by requisition to call a meeting was decided by the Chief Justice, who held that the winding-up being conducted for the shareholders all over the world, only one tribunal could begin and carry liquidation to a complete close, sad that was the tribunal of the country where the company is domiciled.
