TVTOTieE is hereby given that the Council of the |yj County of Selwyn intends, after the expiration of thirty days from the publication of this, notice, to extend a water-race within the Waimakariri Water Supply District in the said County, which extension shall commence at a point on the south-western boundary of Section 5993, twentyone chains seventy links from its southern corner, and shall extend thence in a north-easterly and south-easterly direction through Sections 5993 and 6131. And notice is also hereby given that for the purpose of extending such water-race, the said Council intends to acquire the interest of the owners and occupiers in a strip of land twelve and a half links wide, being port of E.S. 5993 and 6131, as shown on the plan hereinafter mentioned, And notice is also hereby given that a plan showing the course of such extension and the lands, heads and reserves over or throueh which it is intended that the same shall pass, and certified as required by sub-section (2) of section 13 of “ The Water Supply Act, 1891,” lias been deposited at the Magistrate’s Courthouse at Christchurch, and also at the office of the said Council, and that the said plan will be open to public inspection at the said places for a period of thirty davs after the publication of this notice.
