THE CURRENCY QUESTION.
PROPOSED CONFERENCE. [Special to Press Association.] LONDON, Feb. 27. The United States concurs in the proposal to hold an International Currency Conference. In accepting the motion respecting a monetary conference Sir W. V. Harcourt said that no Government could propose to change the basis of currency. They must suit the largest trade, which exists with countries relying on gold only. WASHINGTON, Feb. 28. The Senate recommends President Cleveland to co-operate with Great Britain in holding a monetary conference.
