Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : Friday, March 1. For Timaru, per Wakatipu, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, New South Wales, and Queensland, per Waihora, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van 4 p.m.i train. Saturday, March 2. For United Kingdom, &e. (vid Brindisi), India, China, Japan, &c., Australian Colonies and Dunedin, per Tarawera, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. Due London April 16.
