Great interest was taken in the Bpala handicap yacht race yesterday owing the fact that the competitors included the Waitangi from Auckland and the Maacotce' and Pastime from Lyttelton, and all the principal local yachts. The course'.was, once round the champion course of Tuesday, about sixteen miles. A heavy southerly breeze was blowing at the start, but moderated as the day wore on, Waitangi (scratch) soon took the lead, and maintained it to the finish./ '|rhe,race was robbed of a gopd deal "of interest owing to one of the Mascotteh crew (N.
