Public notices. CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC; No, 1 BY-LAW. IT is herein provided that no person shall connect any lavatory, hath, urinal, watercloset, sink, trap, ventilator, syphon, drainpipe or other sanitary appliances erected or to he erected or constructed or standing on any premises with any drain, sewer, or water-course under the control o£ the Board, or add to, alter, or amend any of the foregoing without first having obtained a permit under the hand of the Secretary for so doing, and it is further provided that no person unless licensed hy the Board in that behalf shall execute or do any work in connection with the matters above referred to; and further that any person committing a breach of this by-law shall he subject to a penalty not exceeding £5. Names of licensed tradesmen can be had on application. The Board desires it to he notified that the provisions of tho by-law will he strictly enforced.
