Kerigg, a recent arrival from Australia, who was arrested on two chargee of petty larceny on Dec. 28, died at the Mount Eden gaol last night. He was about fifty-four years of age, an Englishman by birth, aud was a wool broker. He arrived sis months ago properly accredited, but took to drink end became destitute. So far as is known the deceased has no relations in New Zealand, and, the police have no knowledge of hi 3 Australian connections.
