OXFORD POLICE.
to the rriTor.. Sib, Kindly permit ma to answer "Cava Caaem’s” quest;,n cu the above subject. lam quite aware there were two poking places, one at West and one at Bast. lam also aware that the Telegraph. Office, where tbe of tbo people gathered to receive the result, is close to the pollng-booth, and the Terminus Hotel at West, hence tha necessity of tbo representative of law and order being at the latter place. When it was a well-known fact that there was to be a row at Mr Baddo’a meeting at East Oxford, I suppose tho police officer was at West, ca he could not be found when sent for. A little intelligence sometimes saves a lot cf trouble. I shall not trouble you any more on this subject, as I am sure you must be tired of it.—l am, Ac.. SCRIBE.
