THE NAPIER FLOODS.
[Feb Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Dec. 9. Tha sum of jB2OO was sent by the Relief Committee to Napier to-day. Only three women attended the meeting called this afternoon in connection with the Hawke’s Bay flood relief fund, consequently xio business was done. Tno rainfall at Napior during the storm which caused tho flood was no less than ITBBin. At tho Thames the fall was S OSin, and at Auckland 2’2oin. Steps are being taken to raise a fund in Christchurch for the relief of tho sufferers by the Hawke’s Bay floods, and it is expected that a meeting to decide on a course of action in connection with the matter will be held early tins week.
