Bailway Notioss. NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS FOE GRAND NATIONAL STEEPLECHASES AT CHRISTCHURCH. AUGUST 10th and 12Tir. TRAINS will ran from Christchurch to the Racecourse at 11.45 a.m., 12.5 p.m., 12.20 p.m., 12.35 p.m., and from the Racecourse to Christchurch as required from about 4 p.m. up to half au hour after the last race. Return Pares, including admission to the Racecourse From Christchurch : First Class 2s Cd, Second Class or Seated Waggons 2s; from Lyttelton: 4s and 3s; Single Fares, Racecourse to Christchurch, Is Cd and Is. Tickets available for day of issue only. Season and ordinary tickets, free passes and C. J.C, complimentary tickets are not available by these trains. The trains to and from the Racecourse will not stop at intermediate stations, except the last two trains from the Racecourse, which will stop at Addington to set down passengers. The 7.20 a.m. train from Ashburton to Christchurch will not run on the 10th August. An excursion tram from Timaru to Christchurch on that date will take its place, running at the following times, and stopping if required at all the stations where that train usually stops:—Ashburton, dep., 9.17, Chertsey 9.46, Eakaia 10.0, Duusandel 10.27, Selwyn 10.33, Burnham 10.43, Adding, ton, arrive, 11.37 a.m., Christchurch 11.45. Return fares to Christchurch by this train from Timaru, Ealing and intermediate stations, 10s first class, 7s second; Hinds, Windermere, Winslow, Ss 6d and Cs 6d; Tinwald to Eakaia inclusive, 7s and ss; tickets available for return same day only by train leaving Christchurch at 4.40 p.m. Full particulars of this excursion in posters and local papers. The train from Metliven to Eakaia will start at 8.25 a.m. on the 10th, and he due from Lauriston at 9.2, arriving at Eakaia at 9.45 a.m. to connect with the above train.
