The body of the woman recently found drowned on the Takapuna beach has been identified as that of Margaret Smith, wife of a gum digger.

Mr A. G. Cox,. who received severe injuries by being thrown from his gig on the Geraldine road, and who was. under medical advice, removed to Temuka, is lying in Dr Hayes’ private hospital still in a comatose state. Although his condition is very serious hopes are held out that big injuries will not result fatally.
