WEEKLY SKIN SALES. The weekly skin auctions were held yesterday at the various stores of the auctioneers. The attendance was somewhat smaller than usual, and buyers were not operating freely. There was a fair demand for extra heavy skins, but all other aorta suffered to the extent of 0d to 9d per skin, on crosa-breds and 3d to 6d on merinos. Fat remains about the same, and hides and calfskins are without alterations. Messrs Tcdhuntar and Jenninga sold 1672 skins at the following prices:—Best halfbrods 5s to 6s 2d, medium 8s lOdto 4s lOd; best longwools 5a to 5s 6d, medium 3a 3d to 4s 6d; best merinos 3s Gd to 4s 3d, medium do 2s lOd to 3a 3d; dry crossbreds 2a 3d to ss; dry merinoa Is 6d to 3a 3d; rough fat ltd to 1-Jd per lb. Mr F. C. Tabart sold 1476 skina, 50 hides and 67 packages of fat at the following pricesßast half-breds 5s to 5a Bd, medium 4a to 4s lOd; best longwools 5s to 5a lOd, medium 3a 6d to 4a 9d; best merinoa 3a 6d to 4a, medium 2s 3d to 3s 3d; dry cross-breds 2s to 5s 2d; dry merinos Is 2d to 4s 3d; rough fat lid, to l|d per lb. Messrs Pyne and Co. sold 1017 skins at the following prices:—Best halfbreds 4a 6d to 5a 9d, medium 3s to 4s; best longwools 4s 6d to 5a 6d, medium 3a to 4a; beet merinos 3a to 8a 9d, medium 2a 3d to 2s 9d; dry cross-breds 2a to 4s 6d; dry merinoa la 9d to 8s Gd; rough fat lid to 2d per lb Messrs H. Mataon and Co. (associated with the National M. and A. Company of N.Z., Limited) sold 750 skins, 30 hides and 25 packages fat at the following prices:—Beat half-breds 3a 6d to ss, medium 8s; best merinoa 3a 6d to 4s ; medium 2a 6d to 3s; lambs 3s 6d j pelts Is to la 9d; dry croas-breda 2s lOd to 4s; dry merinoa 2s 8d to 3a 5d ; rough fat lid to lid per lb; tallow 36a 6d to 17s per cwt. The New Zealand Land Association, Limited, sold an average catalogue at the following prices;—Beet half-breda 5a to 5s Bd, medium 4a to 4a 9d; best longwools 5a to 5a 6d, medium 8a lOd to 4s 6d; beat merinos 3a 3d to 4s, medium la lOd to 2a 9d; dry croas-breda and dry merinoS at equal to 4d par lb; rough fat lid to 2d per lb; hidea and calfskins Ifd to 4d per lb.
