[B? ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH-COP? RIGBT.J [Special to Press Association.] YACHTING*. LONDON. August 1. The Prince of Wales’ yacht Britannia, with the owner and the Emperor of Germany on board, won the forty-ton race at Cowes regatta. The Valkyrie was second, and the American Iboat, Navahoe, third. The Emperor assisted in setting tho sails and took a spell at the helm with the rest. The “ Cowes Week,” the great yachting carnival of the year, opened on Monday. The handicap race for Her Majeky’s Cup was won by the German Emperor’s Meteor (better known by its original name ot the Thistle). The Valkyrie was disqualified through sailing the wrong course. AN UNSOLVED MYSTERY. Tho inquest was concluded to-day on the remains of Mr Richards, of Broadstairs, a bathing place in Kent, who was killed some time ago through the explosion of a parcel brought to him through the post. The evidence adduced failed to show any cause for tho outrage, and the mystery remains unsolved. August 2. BURGLARY. A burglary has been committed at the residence of the Countess of Wilton, Maidenhead, and her jewels, of the value of several thousand pounds, stolen. NICARAGUA. NEW YORK, August 1. News has been received that peace has been restored in Nicaragua,
