The racehorses Mutiny and Water bifry passed through from Napier to-day, en route to Christchurch to fulfil their National engagements.

Felix lias been scratched for all engagements for the meeting of tho Canterbury Trotting Club. The extremely wet weather which has prevailed during the past two days has completely put a stop to training operations at Riccarton. On Sunday morning all’ the horses engaged at the Canterbury Jockey Giub’a Winter Meeting were, with the exception of Balqnithcr, who was schooled over the hurdles, confined to the roads. Yesterday morning oaw an entire cessation of work.

There was a large attendance at the auction sale of privileges, in connection with the Canterbury Trotting Club's meeting, held at Messrs Tonka, Norton and 00/a rooms yesterday.
