Robert Wallath was charged this morning with breaking into the counting-house of a Henry Brown Tamer, merchant, on March 29, with intent to commit a felony, George Foote, manager, gave evidence that he left in the office the previous night a cash box, having jB3O or MO in it, and papers in a b;ac!c bond bag. Next morning be found that the place had been broken, into and the bag and its contents gone. Sergeant Baffin deposed to having searched accused’s bedroom, where Foote’s black big was found. Accused was committed for trial. Walltiili was next charged with breaking into Mr Furlong’s shop ou June 16, and steading Swiss cigars and other things. Evidence was given to the effect that cheats were found in prisoner’s room sianilar to tboss missed. He had been em> pioyed to iiiiiktf « -*ool* wu iron bsar had been fixed which no one but the piraes and cho prisoner knew of.
