BROADFIELD SCHOOL.

Thft distribution of prizes to the children attending the Bio&dfield school took plaoe on Friday afternoon, and notwithstanding the threatening state of the weather, there was a fair attendance of the Committee and parents and their friends. The children were helped to a bountiful •apply of tea, cake and lollies in the school grounds. Then a move was made to the schoolroom, where the distribution of ns |ns took place. At its conclusion the Chairman, Mr S. Early, proposed a hearty TOte of thanks to the teachers, Mr and Mrs Snhnett, -for the ■ satisfactory report the school had again obtained this year. This was followed by hearty cheers. Cheers were also given for the Committee and the ladies. ■ The following is the prize list Standard YL—Charles Early. Standard V.—Lizzie Carpenter, Christina Denison, Acton Thompson, Amy Early and Bertie Dodge. Standard IV.—Willie Campion, Bichard Leslie, May Early, Leonard Campion, Ernest. Thompson and Louisa Dodge. Standard lll.—Thomas Dodge, Harry Hensley, Agnes Bell, Emily Spencer and Fred Trott. Standard ll.—Stewart Spencer, John Bell, Alf Larcomba, Minnie Smith, Lilly Early, Isa Small, Amy Dodge, Edith Dodge, Annie Denison and George Smith. Standard I.—Kenneth Dodge, Leonard Dodge, Leonard Harrison, George Hensley, Ethel Dodge, Nellie Smith, Emily Trott and Johana Leslie. Preparing for Standard I.—Grace E.
