[Special to Press Association.] LONDON, Dec. "l 4 Sir Prycs Pryce Jones, a Conservative, was unseated for tho Montgomery district. The petition against Mr Dadabhoi Naoroji’s return for Finsbury has been withdrawn. Mr Balfour, addressing the National Union and Tory Societies at Sheffield, declared that there waa no possibility of Homo Rule passing. He referred to the enormous difficulty presented by the social questions of the day, and urged a judicious middle course iu the treatment of the Indian currency. The announcement that Sir Pryce Jones had been unseated for the Montgomery district ia not correct, the petition having been dismissed. The judges disagreed on the matter. Dec. 15. Tho Privy Council is debating the question whether Colonial Governors should ho entitled to release prisoners committed for contempt of the Supremo Court. The case cited is one from the Bahamas, Sir Charles Russell argued that the Crown should be delegated with power.
