BAD ROADS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l wish to draw tha attention of the authorities to the disgraceful state of the Lincoln road from tha belt to the Hospital; also Oxford Terrace, near Dr Moorhousc’s, and also near St Michael’s Church. I think someone must have been along the road and no - iced it, as I see there has been, I believe, three loads of metal put on within the last ten days at tho belt at intervals (one load at a time). Surely whosever duty it is to attend to these matters must be either very lax or he knows a very little about his business, I hope some of the Councillors will take a drive along and see for themselves. It would have been a saving of money bad it been repaired five or six weeks back.—l am, Ac., ONE WHO DELVES ALONG THE ROAD.
