ST MARY'S HOME.
TO THE EDITOE. Sie, —You have always shown an interest in our rescue work, therefore I venture to trespass upon your columns to correct a misunderstanding touching St Mary’s Home. It. is distinctly a Church of England institution, bub the door is open to all denominations, and, as a matter of fact, we have inmates from all quarters and of different denominations. The Home is industrial and, to a large extent, selfsupporting, but there is a wide margin for the help of Christian friends who recognise the Good Friday’s lesson that the Son of Man came to seek arid to : savc that which was lost. I venture f.o correct ■ the misunderstanding as regards the, management of the institution in view. of the appeal just made by the Bishop for its support by the Good Friday offertories.—-I am, &c., E. J. THORPE, Chaplain to the Public Institutions.
