ENGLISH MAILS. In—Direct mails left London on Jan. 8 and Feb. 5, and are due in New Zealand on Feb. 22 and March 21 respectively. San Francisco mail left London on Jan. 23, and is duo in New Zealand on Feb. 24. Out—Direct mails left New Zealand on Jan. 9 and Feb. 6, and are due in England on Feb. 18 and March 17 respectively. March 5 (due London April 14) and April 2 (due London May 12) are the dates of departures of next direct mails. San Francisco mail left New Zealand on Jan. 30, and is due at Loudon on March 2. Feb. 27 (due London March 30) and March 26 (due London April 27) are the next San Francisco mail dates.
Mails close for the following places as under, subject to tha accessary alterations !■— Thursday, Feb. 11. For United Kingdom, of Europe (specially addressed per Orient steamer only), and also for Australian Colonies, per express (to connect with Tarawera at Poit Chalmers), at 10.15 a.m.; lata fee letters, 10,25 a.m.; guard’s van, on express, 11 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Takapuna, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters 4.35 p.m.; parcels, 3.50 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.30 p.m. train. Friday, Feb. 12. For Akaroa and Dunedin, per Eotorua, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Greymoutb, per Herald, at 12.30 p.m.; lata fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies (except Tasmania) per Wairarapa, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. Saturday, Feb. 13. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard's van, 9.5 p.m. train.
