[Pee Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Sept. 5, Richard Walfh, sub-bailiff of the E.M. Court, ■ who shot himself yesterday, was greatly worried by domestic troubles. His wife died lately, leaving six young children, one an infant a month old. Deceased was born in Auckland, and his father for some years was sexton at the Koman Catholic cemetery, Symoads street. The mother still survives, and added to his domestic troubles poor Walsh received a summons yesterday to show cause why he should not support his mother. Walsh, who was forty-one years of age, was insured for £IOO in the National Mutual Life Association of Victoria. The Premier, in a telegram to the Liberal Association, expresses a hope that the Waikato seat will be contested in the Liberal interest by a candidate personally acceptable to the electorate.
