The Cathedral Spire.—The finishing touch to the work of restoring the Cathedral spire was put on August 24 by the large cross being placed in position. The work was done under the supervision of Messrs Mountfort and Anderson, whose proficiency in climbing about the scaffolding was witnessed with interest by large numbers of people.
