The negative, as well as the positive, must be forwarder! to tae office of the Town and vountkt Journal by competitors. The object of having tho negative ecoi mpanying tho picture is fora guarantee that the work has been done in Australasia, and also to assist in the better manipulation of the engraving. The boat pictures sent infer competition will be published week by week in the Town and Country Journal. Tho prize-winners will bo finally selected by the editor. RULES FOB THE COMPETITION. The competition will close on NOVEMBER 30th NEXT, and tho prizes will he awarded ns soon after that date as possible. No conditions aro maUo as to the subjects of tlie pictures. These are left to tho choice of the competitors themselves. No restriction is made as to the numoer of pictures sent in by any one competitor, except that they must all be received by tho Town and Country Journal by November 30 next. The picture - ! must be forwarded, mounted and finished complete. Negatives alone will not be admissible.
