Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations:— Saturday, Sept. 5.For South America, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (specially addressed correspondence only), per R.M.S. Rimntaka, at 7 a.m.; guard’s van, 7.55 a.m. train. Registered letters and parcel post parcels will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4. This mail will be due in London on Oct. 17. For Dunedin, per Hauroto, at 1.45 p.m. j late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard’s van 9.5 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Rotorua, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.5 p.m. train. Tuesday, Sept. 8.

For Coal Maud, per express (to connect with o.s. Invercargill at Invercargill), at 10.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.25 a.m.; guard’s van on express, 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9.

San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, ic., &c., and also for northern ports of Hew Zealand, per Takapuna, as follows; Ordinary letters, 7.45 p.m.j late fee letters, 8 p.m; books, and newspapers, 7.30 p.m.; registered letters, 6 p.m.; money orders, 4 p.m.; guard's van, 9.5 p.m. train.
