BICYCLE TOURING CLUB.
j The usual monthly meeting of the -Bicycle Touring Club was held at head* quarters last evening. There was a capital attendance of active ' members; Mr J. Forbes presided. Messrs P. J. Soanes and A. S. Cookson were elected active members. Four ladies were also elected as active members. The Chairman took the opportunity of remarking that the Club was the first in New Zealand to elect active lady ; members. The Hon Secretary was in- ; structed to write to the Hon Secretary of : the Pioneer Club in regard to the opening ■ run. The management of the Debating -.Class reported that the attendance of ■•members on Monday evenings was increasing. It was decided to distribute Complimentary tickets to admit to meetings bf the Debating Class, tickets to be procured from the Hon Secretary or members, i Preliminary arrangements were made in ■ connection with the race meeting. Messrs f.G. H. Price and F. PannelTs resignations jas Hon Secretary and Hon Treasurer were ‘received with regret. Messrs C. H. Cotton and J. W. Fitzgerald were unanimously: elected Hon Secretary and Hon Treasurer respectively. A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the meeting.
