MAIL NOTICES.

Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations:— Friday, Sept. 4. For Dunedin, per Penguin, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. Saturday, Sept. 5.For South America, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (specially addressed correspondence only), per R.M.B. Rimutaka, at 7 a.m.; guard’s van, 7.55 a.m. train. Registered letters and parcel post parcels will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4. This mail will be due in London on Oct. 17. For Northern Ports, per Rotorua, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.5 p.m. train. Tuesday, Sept. 6. For Coal Island, per express (to connect with s.s. Invercargill at Invercargill), at 10.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.25 a.m.; guard’s van on express, 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe and America and West Indies (vi& San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Ac., &c., and also for northern ports of New Zealand, per Takapuna, as follows; — Ordinary letters, 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m; books, and newspapers, 7.30 p.m.; registered letters, 5 p.m.; money orders, 4 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.5 p.m. train. Postage to the United Kingdom, 2£d per |oz; to the United States of America and Canada, 6d per -Joz. This mail will he due in London on Oct. 14,1891.
