Mails close for the following plaices as under, subject to the necessary alterations:— Monday, August 17. For Westport (direct), per Kawatiri, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m.; guard's van, 5.80 p.m. train. Tuesday, August 18. For Dunedin, per Tarawsra, ati 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m,; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Brunner, at 12.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard’s van, 1.23 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Rotorua, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, Bp.m.; guard’s vau 9.5 p.m ; train. Wednesday, August 19. For Australian Colonies, and also for the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (specially addressed correspondence only). Point de Galie, India, China, Japan, &c., and also for France, Algeria, Mauritius, &c. (specially marked, per “French packet” only) per express (to connect with Tarawera at Port Chalmers, at 10.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.25 a.m.; guard’s van on express, 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22. For South America, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, per Coptic, as follows :—Ordinary letters, 12.43 p.m.; late fee. letters, 1.15 p.m; registered letters, money orders, books, newspapers and parcel post parcels, 12.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. Postage to the United Kingdom, 2£d per £oz. This mail will be due in London on Oct. 3,1891.
