In response to an invitatipa;from the Rugby Union Selection Committee, a wellattended meeting of footballers was held on Tuesday evening at the Commercial; Hotel, to make arrangements for practices' in view of the forthcoming interprovincial matches against Wellington and Otago*! After fully discussing the matter, it wag; decided to hold practices on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, on the North Park* commencing at 4.45 p.m., while Wednesday and Friday evenings will he devoted, to practice under cover, and for this purpose the upstairs portion of the large; building at the rear of the premises-io-i Hereford street, lately occupied by. Messrs R. Wilkin and Co., has been secured from 8 to 9.30 p.m! All footballers taking part in trial matches are- expected; to attendthese practices.
