[Per Press Association.! AUCKLAND, August 8. The Taupo reports that another destructive fire occurred at Levuka on July 14 and destroyed several buildings. The Planters’ Club Hotel had to be pulled down. The losses were—Houng Lee, insured for £7OO in the New Zealand and South British Companies, loss £300; Henderson and Co.’s store uninsured, loss £200; Stevens* buildings uninsured, loss £SO; Harwon’s Planters’ Club and other buildings, uninsured, loss £IOSO, DUNEDIN, August 9. The Globe lire inquiry was adjourned till Monday, after a few witnesses had been examined. S. do Leon gave evidence of leaving the editor’s room about 10 p.m., and turning oS the gas.
