Cream, Fggs, Fresh Meat, Poultry, Game, Fish, &0,, &c., &0., also for the Prevention of Taints in the Curing of Bacon and Hama. The following extracts fiom Australian papers prove, without a doubt, that liutter treated with PrESEBVITAS will keep Sweet and Unchanged during Transit to England, and fetch much higher prices than any other BUTTER. It has been proved by shipments to London, undertaken by tne Government of Victoria, under the supervision of its Dairy Export (Mr D. ■Wilson) that it oan he placed on that Market Sweet and Unchanged, retaining all its original aroma and flavour, and with the texture unbroken, and at a test made by the Government Dairy Expert, as reported in ilio Melbourne Press, viz.—‘’The Argus” and “Ago” cf May 16th, ‘‘Daily Telegraph” of May 17th, and ” Herald ’’ and “ Evening Sscandard” of May 15th, 3890, when throe lots of butt-r, all from one churniug, one under the “ Cold Vacuum Process,” one with salt only, and the other with •* Breaervitas,” were opened after being ekpt for two months, the opinion of the exnurts called in being that the Butter treated with *• Pukhirvitas ” possessed all the fine natural aroma of go,d baiter, and WAS WORTH AT LEAST 4d PER LB MOEH THAN TEE OTHERS. Again on August Bih, IS9U, on the opening of three tuxes of one chanting of buttei, made on 11th Juno (duplicates of a trial shipment sent to London), one with salt only, and the other two with “ Pressrvitas," the result as reported in the Melbourne‘‘Argus " and “Daily Telegraph" of August 9‘h, the “ Age” of August 11th, and the “Herald” and “Evening Standard” of August Bfch, 1890, being that the judges declared this two LOTS IN WHICH “ PrESEUVITAB " HAD BEEN USED WERE WORTH 3d PER IB MORE THAN THE ONE WITHOUT. The Melbourne Agents also find from reports received from London, respecting equipments made to that Market, that Australian butter is toj heavily salted, and has fetched a lower price in consequence. This is of very grent importance in connection with the treatment o£ butter with “PItKSMRVITiVH,” and when so treated salt need ok lx be used pgr FLavour-iKG, not for preservative purposes. Certificates from Messrs C. B. Blackett Government Analyst for Victoria), the Tuieri Dairy Company (Dunedin), the South Coast, and Weft Camden Co-operative Company ("Sydney), J. C. George (Now Plymouth) can bt seen on application to tho solo Wholesale Agent for Canterbury, from whom all information can be obtained. J. H- GILCHRIST.
