Eleven from Marylebone Cricket Club, began at Lord's to-day. Murdoch won the toss, and elected to bat. The innings closed for 124; the principal scorers being J ones 34, Lyons 24, Trott 18. The weather is favourable, and the wicket is in a capital state. Charlton and Blackham are not playing in this match. The Home team, which is captained by W. G. Grace, includes Woods, of Cambridge. [Received June 3, at 7.50 p.m.] In the first innings of the Australians, Gregory was not out, 23. Barnes took two wickets for 32 runs, Martin four for 54, Flowers one for 15, and Shacklock two for 17. The M. 0.0., at the close of the day’s play, had lost six wickets for 160 runs; Stoddart 46, Gunn 31, Merchant 24, Flowers 24. Eight thousand people were present. Blackham, who has been suffering from a blow on the chest, is better, and will probably play against Cambridge University. [Received June 4, at 1.15 a.m.! Jubx 3.
