COURT OF APPEAL.

[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON. April 28. The sittings of the Appeal Court opened this morning, which was occupied with fixing the order of business. The case of Te Kooti against the Government will not bo taken until the end of the week. The Appeal Court to-day was taken up with hearing the case of Atkinson v. Atkinson, in which William Atkinson appealed against an order made by Mr Justice Denniston restraining him from taking his children out of the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court at Christchurch. Mr Jellicoa appeared for the appellant, and Mr Harper, of Christchurch, for the wife, who was the petitioner in the Court below. Judges Richmond, Williams and Conolly, who were on the Bench, dismissed the appeal, with fifteen guineas costs.
