LAND BOARD.
This Board met on Thursday, Sept. 19; present—Messrs J. H. Baker (Chairman), A. 0. Wilson, D. M'Millan and W. Kitson. The following business was done:—Reserve 206, mouth of river Selwyn, was sold under Section 95, of the Land Act, to Mr John Coe, for cash. Section 35994, in the Spaxton district, was sold on deferred payment to Christopher Grieve. The Board decided, under Section 169 of the Land Act, to recommend that the following runs not sold in May and June last should be offered by auction about the middle of November:—Runs 87, 88, and 89, respectively Benohau, Ehoboro. and Glentanner, at Timaru, at a reduced upset price ; also, at Christchurch, Bun 100 (Blackford), Bun 149 (\Voodstock), and Bun 127 (Manuka Point), at reduced rentals. The Bangers’ reports on a number of perpetual lease settlements were read, and action ordered to be taken accordingly. The remainder of the business was of a routine character.
