THE. BIOTINS AT THE DOCKS. KLBOJRJO TeLEaBAJ’B.—COPTBWUT.J [Special to Press Association.] [BeMived Sept. 19, at noon.] LONDON. Sxri. 18. The dock riots were suppressed by the police before any great harm was done. No fatalities occurred. The Directors of the Companies have determined to resist the opposition o£ the regular hands and retain “ blacklegs” iv. spite of them. Tillet, Chairman of the Labourers’ Union, deprecates violence. [Received Sept. 19, at 4,25 p.m.] Work at the docks is proceeding quietly, except at the Albert Dock, where the Unionists refuse to work with “ blacklegs.” Lord Mayor Whitehead and Cardinal Manning urge the strikers to fulfil the terms of the agreement.
