Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : Thursday, Sept. 19. For Northern Porte, per Te Anau, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.5 p.m. train. Friday, Sept. 20. For Westport (direct), par Omapere, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard’s van, 12,10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Te Anau, at 12.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, Sydney, and Brisbane, per Tekapo, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. Saturday, Sept. 21. For Australian Colonies, per Cairntoul, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.45 pun.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.5 p.m. train.
