VILLAGE SETTLEMENTS.
[Pee Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Jan. 10. The Hon G. F. Eicbardson arrived last night, having made a complete tour of the northern districts, including the Village Settlements. The special settlers will require advances of road works from the Government other two years before they can live on the returns from the land. Settlers all oppose the unemployed being sent on to the land. The Hon G. P. Eichardson left for Wellington by the Mararoa at noon.
