[BY BLSOT3IO TELEGRAPH - COPTRIQBT. i [Beutes’s Telegrams.] (Received Nov. 10, nt 1.40 a.m.] ME VERNON’S TEAM.' MELBOURNE, Nov. 9. The cricket match, Mr Vernon’s Eleven v. Eleven of Victoria, commenced to-day. The home team went in first, and were all disposed of for 152 runs. Houston (17), M‘ll wraith (60), Horan (15),Trumble (10), and M'Shane (15) wore the principal scorers. The visitors scored 23 for the loss of one wicket, Mr Stoddart (not out) having contributed 13. THE SHAW-LILLYWHITE TEAM. SYDNEY, Nov. 9. Owing to excessive rain, the cricket match the Shaw-Lillywhite Eleven v. New South Wales was postponed till Friday next. ■
