THESE Celebrated Lamps have sow become well-known and appreciated, and we are therefore pleased to inform the public of Canterbury that we are NOW LANDING, and have coming forward, LARGE SHIPMENTS for the Present Season. They are made of Brass and Nickel-Plated, and can be supplied either for .Table, Bracket, Hanging, Hal), or Library use. They Wind at the Bottom, and must not be confounded with an Imitation which Winds at the Side, and is altogether an inferior Article. Our Lamps are especially suitable for Churches, Chapels. Public Buildings, and Shops with open windows, as they will not Blow Out. Having Large Stocks, wo are prepared to treat Liberally with Wholesale Buyers, Public Bodies, and Canvassers. The following are a few reasons why our Lamps give such universal satisfaction 1 hey supply a light equal to gas at half the cost. They require neither Globe nor Chimney, though we recommend either a Globe or Shade as a protection to the eyes. They are absolutely safe, as they cannot explode, and it accidentally upset, go out instantly. The light is white, clear, and brilliant, does not flicker, and more closely resembles the Electric Light than any other, giving tinted labrios same colour as daylight. To persons who work or read much at night, they are invaluable, as they do not affect the eyes as gas or ordinary lamps do. Call at our Office and Inspect, and if you are not satisfied as to the merits of our Lamps, do not bay. “HITCHCOCK" LAMP COMPANY, Opposite Queen’s Hotel, Cashel street
