The last annual Bonapartist manifestation at St Augustin's in memory of the late French Emperor’s death at Chislehurst wan kept by a mere handful of Imperialists. Prince Joachim Murat represented ; the Empress Eugenie. Thd Princess Mathilde did not attend, and the violet-sellers around the church complained'that their business on Napoleonic anniversaries had fallen off sadly.
