AUSTRALIANS v. NOTTS. [BF ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT,] [Reuteb’s Teeegeams.] [Beoaived May 19, at 7.40 p.m.] LONDON, Max 18. The cricket match, Australians v. Notts, was commenced at Nottingham to-day. The weather was showery, and there was only a moderate attendance in consequence. The wicket was also very heavy, owing to the continued raiu of the last few days. The following are the names of the team selected to represent the County:—W. Attewcll, W. Barnes, W. Flowers, W. Gunn, W. Scotton, J. Selby, F. Shacklock, A. Shaw, M. Sherwin, A. Shrewsbury, and W. Wright. The Australians went first to the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn had scored 50 for the loss of one wicket. Bonnor, not out 28 Scott, not out... 13 I Received May 20, at 1 a.m.J Owing to the inclemency of the weather, the cricket match, Australians v. Nottingham, was stopped to-day when the score of the visitors had reached 50, The Australian Eleven were entertained at a banquet last night hy the Nottingham team.
