An adjourned meeting of the above Club was held on Monday at Sefton, to complete the arrangements for holding the Club’s annual field day on the Queen’s Birthday. Captain Hunter presided. It had been intended to meet this year at Amberley, but after considerable discussion, it was decided to hold the meeting as heretofore at Sefton, mainly on account of the train arrangements being far more suitable for visitors to Sefton than to Amberley. It was further decided to hold the meeting as before, on Monday, May 24, firing to commence immediately after the arrival of the Christchurch train at 9.15 a.m. Captain Hunter and Messrs Cameron and Pate were appointed a handicapping Committee, and also to arrange details of firing. The Secretary reported that there was a credit balance at the bank, and also that a considerable number of special prizes had been given or promised. It was resolved, that funds be voted sufficient to procure £25 worth of prizes, including special prizes, and Messrs Barclay and Robertson were deputed to purchase suitable articles. The meeting is open to members and to all comers on payment of a small entrance fee, and the attraction of a liberal array of prizes should make the reunion as successful as in former
