NOTICE is hereby given that at a SPECIAL MEETING of the Christchurch Drainage Board called for that purpose, and held at the office of the Board, in the City of Christchurch, on the fourteenth day of May, 1886, the said Board did resolve and direct that a GENERAL RATE he LEVIED for the purposes of “The Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1875," and the Acts amending the same; and the said Board fixed the amount of the said Rate as to the Districts of Sewage St Albans, Sewage Lin wood. Sewage Avon, Sewage Heathoota, and Sewage Biccarton, at three farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of the rateable property within the said districts respectively. And as to the district of Rural St Albans, at seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound; as to the district of Rural Linwood, at one half-penny in the ponnd; os to the district of Rural Avon, at three farthings in the pound; as to the district of Rural Heathcote, atone half-penny in the pound; and as to the district of Rural Biccarton, at nineteen thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound, upon the rateable value of the rateable property within the said districts respectively. And the Board did further direct that the period for which the said Rate should ho struck should he for that ending on the 31st day of December, 1886, after the said Bate is struct, and that the Sate shall he payable in one sum on a day to be fixed by the local bodies making the same respectively.
