LytUlton Times Office, Wednesday Evening. STOCK EEPOET. At the Addington Yards on "Wednesday a very large entry of fat and store sheep came forward. In Fat Sheep the sale was a dragging one throughout, and the result was that a large proportion not reaching owners'limits were turned out unsold. Prime cross-bred 3 sold from 15s to 19s 3d (for very heavy' weights); second and medium ditto, from 12s 6d to 14s. We quote prime quality mutton at 2|d per lb, and second quality descriptions at 2|d. The supply ofistores was again very large, hut owing to the scarcity of buyers competition was dull compared to late Bales, but the bulk of those yxpded found buyers at prices about equal to late ri|e6. Fat Cattle.—There was a full yard. Prime steers sold to £8 2s 6d, equal to an average of 17s 6d per 1001 b ; while second and inferior sorts realised 163 per 1001 b. CUSTOMS REVENUE. The following was the Cnrtoms revenue collected yesterday :—Spirits, £341 12s 4d; wine, £2l; tea, £5 Is Gd ; sugar, £27 lis 3d; tobacco, £4l 4s 3d ; porter, £6 ss; ad. valorem, £6lB 12s; goods by weight, £4312s Sd; other duties, £72 7s 2d; JUI2V7 6s 2d. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Napiee, April 30. Messrs C. B. Hoadley and Co. held their fifth wool sale of the season to-day. A large catalogue was oSered and all cleared. Cross-bred greasy was depressed, but there was keen competition for scoured merino, which realised up to Is 63d. Wellington, April .30. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Ca. have received from Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co. the following cable, date! London, April 29: —" At the wool sales cross-breds advanced Id to lid. Other descriptions are id below the closing rates of last Bales. There was a good attendance of buyers. 400,000 bales were admitted in the sales."
