SALE OF BLOOD STOCK.
Middlk Park Stud Company. The annual sale of this Stud Company 8 yearlings took place on April 16, at the breeding establishment at Riccarton, and attracted a good attendance. The sale cannot bo designated successful, winch is mainly due to the hard times, scarcity of money, &c., but the youngsters withheld by the Company will, no doubt, soon change bands. Butler Total 813 Messrs Newton & Son. On April 16 Messrs C. Newton and Son held an important sale of blood stock in Messrs Miles and Co.’s Repository, Cashel street. The stock offered included a number of . racers that have been in training in. the studs of the Hon W. Robinson, Messrs G. G. Stead, H. Horsford, and other prominent patrons of the turf. There was a large attendance at the sale, but the bidding was dull. The following gives results of the sale: —

Mr D. O’Brien hid up to 750 guineas, at which figure the horse was passed in. Several others having been passed in or failed to elicit a bid, Mr Stead withdrew the balance of his lot.
