LAW EXAMINATIONS.

S, Weston an it Allan Holmes —in concluding their August examinations, have recommended Mr J. Hay, of Christchurch, for the Canterbury Law Society’s Barrister’s gold medal. Eis papers, we believe, were highly spoken of by the examiners in their report to the Chief Justice. Mr W. 0. M'Qregor, of Dunedin, is to be the recipient of the Society’s gold medal for the best set of solicitor’s papers. The examiners have awarded certificates of merit to H. T. W. Haliiweli (Dunedin), and P. Kippenberger (Christchurch), for excellency of work in their solicitors’ papers,, Honourable mention is made by Messrs Weston and Holmes of the papers furnished by B. G. Eaymond (Christchurch), A. 8. Adams (Dunedin), and J. A- OaygiU (Christchurch), candidates for admission as solicitors.
