The report of the Inspector of Police on the licensed houses in the Borough was read. It stated that all the houses wore well eon* ducted, but better oloset accommodation ought to be supplied at the Shamrock Hotel. Mr Morgan, the licensee of the Shamrock Hotel, was present, and stated that he had complied with the request of the Inspeotor of Police. The Chairman said it had bean reported to the Committee that the now licensee of the Grotvflfior Hotel bad employed a barmaid after eleven o'clock. He wished to point out that barmaids oould not be employed in the bar after eleven o'clock under a permit; not exceeding £2O, unlets the barmaid »o employed was the wife of the licensee or hie daughter. It would be necessary for the police to tee that the law in this respect wae enforced.
