MUSHROOMS.

TO THE KDITOK. Blß,—Now that the season for these delicodas has commenced, it ocean to me to "enquire whether amongst your readers there ik anyone who can afford information as to what other varieties of fund besides the one we call " mas broom " are edible. You are perhaps aware that at Home (or I believe thu correct phrase here is " in the Old Country ") there is a Society whose members are learned in such hi alter*, and hold periodical banquets consisting mainly of varieties of tuogt cooked in the most artistic manner. The choice oC dishes on these occasions is surprising, and I think I have read in connection with that Society that by far the greater portion of the fungus tribe are edible, ai>d the minority only are poisonous. Without more light on the subject, however, I should hesitate to try any' rash experiments.—l am, &c., BON VIYANI.
